Six

Alayna and Gabby
How's it going, folks.

So, awhile back, I discussed how Kris bought Abby tickets to see some musical called Six.  I had no previous notion as to what this show was all about, just that Abby enjoyed listening to its soundtrack from time to time.  Well, Kris caught wind of this as well and looked into, found the premise  - a 'concert' put on by Henry VIII's six wives - cool enough to purchase tickets for it.  And not just for Abby, mind you - but for Kris, Alayna, Ella (Abby's BFF), and a few other folks as well.

The show was down at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit - where, if you'll recall, Kris and Alayna accompanied the Midland High Drama Club down to see Les Miserables back in January. Alayna's friend Cristina and her mom, Ana (coincidentally Alayna's Spanish teacher this year), along with some friend of their family, were along for the trip as well.  So, in total, there were, like, two moms and five teenagers going on this thing.

As usual, I wasn't around for any of it, so I'm just spit-balling with captions here, folks.

Let's do this. . .

Gabby was coming along for the show as well, and while her and Alayna were trying on different dresses to wear to the theatre (because, you know, girls have to dress up for shit like this), they screwed around with random photo filters on their phones (like this one I found later.)  This dude looks creepy as f***.

Trying on dresses (this process took FOREVER.)

I took a pic of all the ladies going as they prepared to head out (Cristina, her mom, and that other girl were meeting them down there.) You can see the road construction making its way slowly down the street towards our house in the background. . .
En route to Detroit.
The girls like taking pics of this stretch of theatre ceiling - they do it every time they come down here.
I don't understand the teenage obsession with this particular shot. . .
Some fancy chandelier one of my kids took a pic of.
Kris took a pic of the group of girls once the group got to their seats, prior to the show starting.  From Left to Right: some girl I don't know (I think her name is Lillian), Abby, Ella, Alayna, Gabby and Cristina.
Group selfie.
Another shittier shot of these kids. . . this time with the show's title in the background.
Freshman selfie.
After the show, Kris took some pics of the kids posing with various show advertisements. . .
Gabby and Alayna pose in front of the Fisher Theatre matinee.
Kris and the girls.
The Birthday Girl
Kris bought the girls all Happy Meals on the drive back to Midland.  Random, I know, but that's what all the teenage girls were clamoring for. Kids are weird.
