Eleven Years

These dudes always scare the crap out of me.
Hey, Cyberspace.  Welcome back.

Kris and I recently decided to stay married again this year, marking our 11th year of not divorcing one another.  To celebrate this milestone, we decided to keep it simple, as we only go all-out for the bigger anniversaries (five years, ten years, etc.)  We're both big fans of Japanese cuisine, so we decided to head out to Genji Steakhouse, here in Midland, for some hibachi - Kris had been there a few times already, but I personally hadn't had hibachi since down in Orlando, some five or six years ago.

(I don't take photograph well in selfies.)
Heading out for some shopping.
Checking out some books in Barnes and Noble

Food was awesome, and we were both full well before our main course came, so we had crap load of food leftover for lunch and dinner for the following day (for all four of us.)  After dinner, instead of hitting up a movie or something along those lines (there wasn't crap playing at the theatre), we headed over to the Midland Mall to window shop for Christmas ideas for the girls.  And to walk off some of the forty pounds in greasy hibachi we had just gorged ourselves upon.

Like the old, lame couple that we are, we got back to the house around 8pm or so, where Mom was watching the girls and subjecting herself to one horrible, horrible kids movie after another.

After the kids went to bed, we took our obligatory hands-and-champagne picture and toasted one more year of not separating our assets in a court of law.

This is getting harder and harder to pull off as the years go by. . .

See you guys next year,

- Brian
