Hey fans,
Technically today is the last day of school for Yours Truly.
Technically. I mean, I
had to show up and turn in my keys and stuff like that, but hell. . . without students on hand to not pay attention and/or 'swag' up the place, it didn't really feel like work. I wore shorts and flip-flops for Christ's sake, and ran out the clock until 4:00. . . when Summer 'officially' started.
Anyway, while I was hard at work*, Kris decided to take her mom and the girls out to Cocoa Beach for the morning.
Check it out:

Cocoa Beach, FL. |

Marcy hadn't seen the Atlantic before, so she was pretty happy with the morning outing. . . |
|
Our kids are pretty apprehensive about actually swimming in the Ocean. . . but I can't really blame them. The Atlantic coast of Florida has one of the highest concentration of shark attacks in the world. Not that they know that - they just don't like waves larger than two inches. Because they're cowards. |
|
This is about as far as they'll go into the Ocean without being carried. |

Getting some color. . . |
|
Not sure if they're enjoying this or not. |

That umbrella sucks. I want to get one of those four-pole jobs you see sometimes at a beach. They're like a mobile patio, and don't blow over when there's a 2mph wind gust. |

Abby springs into action. . . |

Kris is about to be bit by a vamp-child. Just like in one of those chick books. |
